We are a directory and information platform. We are not a chimney service provider, employer, or contractor. We do not perform chimney work, provide estimates, or mediate service disputes between homeowners and professionals.

3. Chimney Professional Listings

3a. Application and Verification Requirements

Chimney professionals who apply for a listing agree to the following:

• Submit accurate, current, and verifiable business information — including license numbers, insurance documentation, and certification credentials
• Consent to our review process, which includes verification of submitted credentials with issuing agencies, licensing boards, insurance carriers, and certifying organizations
• Consent to a background check conducted on the business owner and key technicians as a condition of listing
• Notify us within 14 days of any material change to credentials — including license expiration, lapse in insurance coverage, or certification suspension or revocation
• Understand that misrepresentation during the application process is grounds for immediate listing removal, forfeiture of fees paid, and potential reporting to relevant licensing authorities

3b. Listing Accuracy and Ongoing Compliance

Members are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of their listing at all times. We reserve the right to suspend or remove any listing that contains materially inaccurate information, allows credentials to lapse without notification, or is associated with documented consumer complaints that the member has not addressed or disputed in good faith.

3c. The Verified Badge

The Verified Chimney Pros badge may be used by active members in good standing on their own website, printed materials, invoices, and digital communications. Badge use is subject to the following conditions:

• The badge may only be displayed while membership is active and credentials remain current
• The badge may not be modified, recolored, or combined with other branding in a way that misrepresents its source or meaning
• Upon cancellation, suspension, or revocation of membership, use of the badge must be discontinued within 7 calendar days
• Unauthorized use of the badge after membership termination may result in legal action

• We do not guarantee the quality, safety, timeliness, or outcome of any work performed by listed professionals
• Our verification process represents a baseline credential review at the time of approval — it is not a continuous real-time monitoring system and does not replace your own due diligence
• Any dispute, claim, concern, or complaint about work quality, billing, or conduct is between you and the listed professional directly — we are a directory, not a contractor
• You should verify current licensing and insurance status independently for any significant or structural chimney work
• We encourage you to always obtain written estimates, review the service agreement before signing, and never authorize major repairs based on verbal estimates alone

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, structural design, the Verified Chimney Pros name, logo, badge, original written articles, directory organization, and data presentation formats — is owned by Verified Chimney Pros and protected by applicable U.S. copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Professional listing profiles contain information that members have submitted. By submitting listing content, members grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the platform for the duration of active membership. Upon membership termination, this license expires.

No content from this platform may be reproduced, distributed, adapted, or used commercially without written permission from Verified Chimney Pros, except as explicitly provided by applicable fair use doctrine.

7. Suspension and Removal of Listings

Verified Chimney Pros is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at admin@verifiedchimneypros.com and we will take prompt action to remove that information from our systems.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may suspend or permanently remove a listing under any of the following circumstances:

• A member’s license, insurance, or professional certification lapses and is not renewed within 30 days of our notification
• We receive credible, documented consumer complaints that the member has not addressed or disputed in good faith within a reasonable timeframe
• A member’s listing contains or is found to have contained materially false or misleading information
• A member engages in conduct — online or in person — that is materially inconsistent with the standards the Verified badge is intended to represent
• A member fails to pay their subscription and does not respond to our payment failure notifications within 30 days
• A member violates any provision of these Terms

In non-emergency cases where removal is not due to immediate consumer risk or fraud, we will provide email notification and allow 7 business days for the member to respond before finalizing any removal decision.

8. Limitation of Liability

Verified Chimney Pros is a directory platform. We do not perform chimney services, employ chimney technicians, or supervise any work performed by listed professionals. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Minnesota law:

• Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of this platform is limited to the amount you paid in subscription fees in the 3 months immediately preceding the claim
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or any services found through it
• We are not liable for damages arising from the work, conduct, recommendations, or representations of any listed professional
• We are not liable for errors in third-party public records (licensing databases, certification records, complaint databases) used in the verification process

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved by direct negotiation between the parties will be submitted to binding arbitration conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, in Wright County, Minnesota. Class action claims and class-wide arbitration are excluded — each party agrees to resolve disputes only on an individual basis.

10. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days’ advance written notice to registered members via email. Continued use of the platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
